Raktheshwari Kali Mata -The terrifying apparition of Black Mother

The Black Mother Kali Mata is recognized as the preserver of the earth but is called the "Dark Mother" because of her destructive powers. Kali means "She who is beyond time." She is known as Goddess Kali because of her black skin and features. Among the ten important Dasa Mahavidyas, Maa Kali ranks first. The word Kali means "darkness". The word Kali comes from Kala, which means black, time, death, or the goddess of death.

The horrible and violent mother Kali was born when Lord Shiva opened his third eye. His entire body was dark. Mother Kali possessed a third eye and a lunar line on her brow. He was wielding a trident and maternal-type weaponry.

Image of Goddess Kali Mata

We are unaware that our freedom is constrained. Kali's grace aids us in realizing this. Goddess Kali has four arms or hands to represent her enormous might. She wields a sword and a freshly cut head in two of her hands, indicating a great fight in which she slew the demon Raktabija. The other two hands are there to bless her true worshippers, implying that they would be saved as she guides them both here and after death.

Because the ego emerges through identification with the body, Kali wears a garland made of 52 skulls and a skirt made of dismembered arms. It implies that the physical body is fictitious and that the only authentic truth is the spirit. Her black or dark blue complexion indicates the unmanifest womb, from which all creation is born and to which all creation will eventually return. As a result, the categories of color, light, dark, good, and bad do not apply to her since she is the Adishakti, the pure, unmanifested energy.

The divine mother Raktheshwari's terrifying apparition

Kali Mata

During the Kurukshetra conflict, Kali Mata makes her first entrance into the Hindu cosmic realm. She assumed the appearance of a dark blue night or Kalaratri. She regularly appeared in the Pandavas' troops' dreams. She was finally seen in her Kalaratri form during the battle between Guru Dronacharya's son Ashwatthama and the Pandavas. In the anger of the Pandavas beating the Kauravas in the Mahabharata battle, Ashwatthama wields the Brahmastra to kill Abhimanyu's unborn son.

Kali Mata then appeared in the story of defeating the demon Raktabija. Demon Raktabija was a demon believed to be the reincarnation of Rambhasura, king of monsters and father to Mahishasura. He had fought against Goddess Parvati and Goddess Kali with Shumbha and Nishumbha. The biggest strength of this demon was that he could duplicate demons with just a drop of blood. He started causing havoc in the universe by creating demons and increasing evil energies.

The struggle between Ambika, the protective goddess, and the Raktabija demon was memorable. Ambika and Matrikas were having a difficult time fighting back against the devil and stopping the duplications. He was injured, and blood drops continued falling on the ground, giving birth to additional demons. Finally, the goddess Kali had to intervene and take command of the conflict. She began collecting Raktabija's blood in a bowl and killing copies while assisting Ambika and Matrikas in killing Raktabija himself. She took the demon's blood and became known as Raktheshwari. Kali severed his skull and stretched her long tongue to consume all of his blood before it fell. Kali began a frenzied celebration dance after defeating the demons. The gods pleaded with Shiva to stop her before she annihilated the planet. Shiva was lying down in her path, and she stepped on him by accident. She calmed down as she noticed her hubby beneath her feet. That is why she is frequently shown with her foot on Shiva.

In which way Lord Shiva drank the wrath of Mother Kali?

Mahishasura, Chand Mund, Dhumraksh, Raktabij, and Shumbha Nishumbh were all slaughtered by Mother Kali. One of the Kama Kalamavidya is Goddess Kali Mata. Kali denotes "shape," which is forever supported by the foundation of pure consciousness.

When all the gods were terrified and fled when they saw the violent form of Goddess Kali Mata. Daruka was defeated in combat by Asura Maa Kali, and thus the evil was put to rest. Fireballs burst all around Maa Kali. Only Lord Shiva could put an end to Mother Kali's anger. As a result, he became a child. Lord Shiva arrived at the crematorium and cried like a kid. When Mother Kali saw the little boy, her rage calmed. Watsalya's spirit was reawakened within him. He scooped up Shiva, the small boy, and began feeding on her breasts. As a result, Shiva drank his rage.

Mother Kali's ferocious and deadly rage was so eased. Mother Kali went unconscious as a result. Lord Shiva performed the Tandava to bring them back to reality. When she regained consciousness, she reincarnated as Goddess Parvati. She also began dancing after witnessing Lord Shiva's dance, which is why she is also known as "Yogini."
