Chamunda Mata Goddess of Death & Destruction a Rudra form of Devi Durga
Mother Nature is represented by Chamunda Mata who symbolized death, disaster, and destruction by A Devine & Dark Goddess who is a Rudra form of Devi Durga. However, since Goddess Chamunda is loving and compassionate towards her worshippers, she is revered in various parts of the world. Chamunda Devi is one of the seven Matrika a group of mother goddesses whose origins can be traced to the Rigveda. Chamunda, also known as Chamundi, Chamundeshwari, or Charchika, is one of the seven Matrika's and a terrifying aspect of the Hindu goddess Mother Goddess. She is one of the principal yoginis, a group of sixty-four to eighty tantric goddesses who serve as attendants to the warrior goddess Durga.
There are several traditions surrounding Chamunda Devi's origin. One of the most common legends surrounding Chamunda Devi is that she was made from Goddess Durga's brows to kill the demons Chanda and Munda who had started a reign of terror. Chandi Devi was the name given to Goddess Durga's fiery form. She fought and killed the demons Chanda and Munda in a terrible struggle. From then on, she was known as Chamunda Devi.
Another legend involves a monster named Raktabija. He was an evil force who wreaked havoc and terror wherever he went. Goddess Durga fought this monster, who had a curse that wherever a drop of his blood fell, his clone would appear. The Goddess, with the help of the Matrikas, was fighting this monster, whose every drop resulted in his multiplication. Chamunda Devi gathered the demon's blood in a vessel and drank it, not letting a drop fall to the ground, while the other Matrikas fought and killed the demon.
Markandeya Puranika History of Mata Chamundeshwari
Chamunda Mata filled the quarters with her roars while holding a bizarre skull-topped stick, decorated with a garland of skulls, clad in tiger's skin, quite horrifying owing to her emaciated form, with a gaping mouth and tongue lolling out frightened, with deep-sunk scarlet eyes. Kali annihilated the army of the gods' enemies, rushing upon them and murdering the army's mighty asuras. She devoured the entire army of the powerful wicked asuras, killing some, crushing others, and devouring most frightfully with her fangs. Chanda dashed towards the terrifying Kali after seeing the entire army of asuras fall to the ground in an instant. While Chanda rained arrows down on her, Munda flung thousands of discuses into her eyes.
The countless discussions that entered her lips shined like so many Sun orbs as Kali swallowed them. Kali of the horrible countenance mounted the enormous lion and charged at Chanda, laughing furiously. She grabbed his hair and cut off his head with her sword. Kali became enraged and murdered him by striking him viciously with her sword. Munda ran towards Chanda after seeing her lie down. In her rage, she threw him to the ground as well, striking him with her sword. When the bravest Chanda and Munda were defeated, the surviving army panicked and fled in all directions. And Kali approached Chandika, clutching the heads of Chanda and Munda in her hands, and said, "In this combat sacrifice, I have brought you the heads of the huge monsters Chanda and Munda. Shumbha and Nishumbha, you must slay yourselves.
When the two mighty asuras Chanda and Munda were brought before her, the auspicious Ambika stated to Kali in a humorous tone, "Because you brought me both Chanda and Munda, you, O Devi, will be known throughout the universe as Chamunda.

In Matsya Purana chamunda Maa
Matsya Purana gives a different genesis myth for Devi Chamundeshwari. Lord Shiva created her, along with other Matrikas, to assist him in killing the demon Andhakasura, who, like Raktabija, had the capacity to generate from his pouring blood. Chamunda Mata, along with the other Matrikas, swallows the demon's blood, finally assisting Shiva in killing him. Chamundeshwari, not the other Matrikas sucking Andhaka's blood. Chamunda's skin turned blood-red after consuming the blood. According to the text, Chamunda performs a destructive dance while playing a musical instrument whose shaft represents Mount Meru, the spring represents the cosmic snake Shesha, and the gourd represents the crescent moon. During the world-ending flood, she plays the instrument.
