Meaning: Obeisance to Lord Ishana (another name of Lord Shiva) whose form represents the highest state of nirvana (absolution of all desires and passions leading to supreme bliss),

He who assumes a form and manifests, though in essence, is omnipresent, and his form embodies the supreme knowledge of Brahman present at the root of the Vedas. He who is absorbed in Himself which is above the three Gunas (sattva, rajas, and tamas), which is above any development (change and multiplicity) and which is free from any movement (due to desire, etc.), who resides in the sky of Chidakash (spiritual sky); I worship that idol.

Meaning: Salutations to Sri Rudra who is formless and the root from which the sacred Omkara arises; He who dwells in the Turiya state (the fourth state of meditation experienced by Brahma) is the Lord who is beyond the knowledge that speech can express and beyond the perception that the senses can perceive; He is Girisha (another name of Lord Shiva which literally means Lord of the Mountains) taking the terrifying form of Mahakala who can tear Kala (time) itself; At the same time he is the embodiment of mercy towards his devotees, I bow to him who helps to transcend this samsara (illusion of worldly existence) which is like an abode made of virtue.

Meaning: Salutations to Sri Rudra, whose ear-rings swing near his beautiful face, who is adorned with eyebrows and large beautiful eyes, whose face is radiant with joy and mercy, whose throat is blue (due to drinking poison during the churning of the ocean, and who) is supremely merciful, whose clothes are those of the lord of animals.
